Every stage of Jesus’ arrest and trial—arrest, hearing, council, interrogation, and sentencing—was a complete corruption of the very justice system meant to protect the innocent, revealing the depth of human sin and injustice. Yet in that very corruption, the sinless Christ willingly stood condemned, demonstrating both His innocence and the brokenness of those judging Him.
