Scripture calls us to submission, but what happens when human rules begin to replace God’s truth? Jesus shows that God’s commands are meant to serve people, not enslave them. Sometimes the most faithful thing a Christian can do is refuse to bow to rules that eclipse the greatness and grace of God. Followers of Christ can walk in the freedom of grace rather than the burden of legalism.
