Who We Are

Redemption Church is a people who are committed to love, worship, and follow Jesus. We grow in Christ-like living as we repent of sin and believe Jesus. We are seeking to be made like him through faith in his death and resurrection. We are a people who love God’s grace to us in Jesus Christ and proclaim God’s demonstration of love in Jesus Christ.

We believe the gospel of Jesus changes everything. To be the church is to live for Jesus. Church isn’t meetings or programs or events; it’s a people who are being transformed in all of life so that we live normal everyday lives with a gospel-centered lifestyle. We’re intentionally shaping our words, decisions, relationships, and values through the gospel of Jesus.

What We Believe

Redemption Church Doctrine

Scripture
We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testament, is the Word of God, fully inspired, without mistake as originally written, and our final authority for faith and practice in the Christian life. (2 Tim. 3:16;  Pet. 2:20-21; Ps. 119:160)

God
We believe in one God who eternally exists in three distinct Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who are eternally coequal in power and worth. (Matt. 28:19-20; 1 Pet. 1:2; 2 Cor. 13:14)

Humanity
We believe that mankind was created in God's image and had perfect relationship with God, but as a result of disobedience suffered spiritual separation from God and physical death. We believe that all people are sinners by birth, nature, and choice and therefore separated from their Creator. (Gen. 1:27; Ps. 8; Isa. 59:1-2; Rom. 3:9-23)

Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is God, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death on a cross, was raised from the dead three days later, and ascended to the right hand of the Father in Heaven. (Jn. 1:1-5; Matt. 1:22-23; Heb. 4:14-15; Rom. 1:3-4; 1 Cor. 15:3-4)

Salvation
We believe that by God's grace, a person can be in right relationship with God by trusting in the Person and work of Jesus Christ by faith alone, apart from any kind of work. (Rom. 5:1; 6:23; Eph. 2:8-9; Titus 3:5)

Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God and equal with both the Father and the Son. He regenerates all Christians, is indwelling all believers, enabling them to live the Christian life, and empowering them for service. (2 Cor. 3:17; John 16:7-13; 1 Cor. 2:12; 3:16; Eph. 1:13)

Christ’s Return
We believe in the imminent personal return of Jesus Christ to earth. (Titus 2:13; Matt. 25:31-34; 1 Thess. 5:1-11)

Resurrection
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all mankind. Those who are in relationship with God through Jesus Christ will be resurrected to eternal life, but those without a relationship with Jesus Christ will be resurrected to eternal judgment. (1 Cor. 15:22-26, 40-44, 50-58; John 3:36; Rev. 20:11-15)

Our Values

The following are the things that we hold extremely close to our heart. These are what could be called guiding characteristics and traits.
We are passionate about Christ’s Fame. We keep Christ as our chief aim and value who He is. He is the pastor of our church. He is what we preach. He is who we model our lives after. He is who we find our joy in. He is central to what we’re about (Rom. 11:36; 1 Cor. 10:31; 1 Cor. 2:2).

We are committed to walking in Spiritual Integrity. We desire for our lives to be models of right living and purity before both God and people. It is deeply important that we walk what we talk (Rom. 12:1; Eph. 1:4; 1 Pet. 1:15-16).

We are motivated by God's Grace. Since we have been changed by the favor and forgiveness of God through Christ, we will seek to relate to one another and the world with this same mentality, attitude, and lifestyle. We want to build a church of diversity and acceptance (Acts 4:33; Rom. 3:24; Rom. 14; Eph. 1:6).

We are faithful in Presenting Christ. We believe that the church has been given the job of communicating the good news of Christ to a lost and dying world. We are committed as individuals and as a church to reaching our community with this message of hope
(Matt. 28:19-20; Titus 2:4-5; Rom. 10:17).

We are inspired by Christ-Centered Worship. We want to show Christ as supreme above everything else through how and what we sing. All that we do in this area will be balanced by stimulating our emotions through relevant, diverse, and competent music. We do this without losing truth, substance, and depth by making sure our songs are focused on an accurate view of God and the Scriptures (John 4:24; Acts 2:47; Rom. 12:1-2).

We are developing a Sense of Community. We encourage all members to actively participate in a gospel community where relationships are developed, neighborhoods are being reached, and believers are growing in to look and act like Jesus Christ (Acts 2:44-46).
